Miggi standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
Last updated: August 07, 2026
Miggi is a chat and community app for people aged 14 and over. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) has no place on Miggi. We prohibit it absolutely, we remove it whenever we find it, we permanently ban the accounts responsible, and we report it to the relevant authorities.
This page is Miggi's published child safety standard. It sets out what we prohibit, how we prevent and detect it, how anyone can report it to us, and how to reach our child safety point of contact. It applies everywhere in the app — rooms, private chats, posts, stories, profiles, usernames, avatars and gifts — and to everyone who uses Miggi.
What we prohibit
The following are prohibited on Miggi, with no exceptions and no warnings:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, drawing, animation, audio or text that depicts, describes or simulates a minor in a sexual context.
- Sexualising minors in any way, including sexualised commentary about a real child and sexualised imagery generated or altered with AI or editing tools.
- Grooming — building a relationship with a minor in order to sexually exploit them, including sexual conversation with a minor and requests for sexual images.
- Sextortion — threatening to publish a minor's intimate images or information in order to obtain more images, money or anything else.
- Trafficking, prostitution or any other sexual exploitation of a minor, including advertising, soliciting, arranging or paying for it.
- Sharing, requesting or linking to CSAM, or directing others to where it can be found, whether on Miggi or elsewhere.
- Adults seeking romantic or sexual contact with minors, including any attempt to move such contact to another platform.
- Accounts, rooms, usernames, profiles or content that exist to promote, normalise or trade in any of the above.
Minimum age
Miggi is not intended for children. Our Terms and Conditions set a minimum age of 14, and every user states their date of birth when registering. Accounts we find to belong to someone below the minimum age are removed together with their content.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child under 14 has an account on Miggi, report it using the details below and we will remove it.
How we prevent and detect CSAE
- Every account is tied to a verified email address, and we keep the records needed to identify and permanently block accounts and devices that violate this standard.
- Public rooms and public content — posts, stories, galleries, profile photos, usernames and bios — are subject to moderation by Miggi staff.
- Reports from users are reviewed by staff who can remove content, close rooms and permanently ban accounts.
- Repeat and evasive offenders are blocked at account and device level to make re-registration harder.
- Our moderation staff receive guidance on recognising grooming and CSAE patterns and on escalating them immediately rather than handling them as ordinary abuse reports.
- We preserve evidence relating to a CSAE report — account data, messages and media — for law enforcement, even after the offending content has been removed from the app.
How to report CSAE
Anyone can report CSAE to us, whether or not they have a Miggi account, and whether or not they are the person affected.
In the app
- To report a person: open their profile, tap the More options menu, and choose Report user. Inside a private chat you can do the same from the More options menu at the top of the screen — the recent conversation is attached so our reviewers can see the context.
- To report a post: open the post and tap the flag icon at the top of the screen.
- Choose the reason that fits best — including Child safety — add any detail that helps, and send. Child safety reports are prioritised ahead of all others.
- Block is in the same More options menu on a profile, and stops all further contact immediately.
By email
Send a report to support@miggi.id. Include the username or profile link, where you saw the content (room, chat, post or story) and the date and time. CSAE reports are treated as urgent and are reviewed ahead of all other reports.
Please do not download, save or forward suspected CSAM in order to report it, and do not attach it to an email to us. Describing where to find it is enough — possessing or distributing that material is itself a criminal offence.
What we do with a report
- We remove the content and any copies of it from the app.
- We permanently ban the account and block associated accounts and devices.
- We preserve the account data, content and logs associated with the report.
- We report apparent CSAE to the appropriate authorities, including the Indonesian National Police and the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi), and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where the case falls within its remit.
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement requests relating to child safety and respond to valid legal process.
Child safety point of contact
Law enforcement, child protection organisations, platform partners and members of the public can reach our child safety point of contact at support@miggi.id. Put "CHILD SAFETY" in the subject line and we will treat it as a priority.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In Indonesia, call 110 (police) or 129 (the SAPA helpline of the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection).
Compliance and review
These standards are published in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and with applicable law, including Indonesian legislation on child protection and on electronic information and transactions. Where a legal obligation requires more than what is written here, the legal obligation applies.
We review this standard at least once a year, and whenever our features, our moderation practice or the law change.
